This weekend I joined Brain Tumour Research, my amazing constituents Yasmin and Khuram for the Walk of Hope, in memory of their daughter Amani, who lost her life to a brain tumour at the age of just 23.
There were so many wonderful friends & family members of Amani as well as people from across the region who have lost loved ones to brain tumours. The walk raised nearly £10,000!
Brain tumour treatments have not kept up with the pace of scientific change for other types of cancer. It was moving and poignant to come together again this year, to remember those lost to brain tumours, and commit to pushing for change.
