A few months ago, Ministers announced plans to close the majority of UK train ticket offices – including at Leagrave in Luton North.
This move would have been hugely damaging for rail users in Luton North – 91% of respondents to my survey said that this closure would inconvenience them, with many citing concerns about safety, ease of use and accessibility for older or disabled passengers.
Thankfully, the Government has now u-turned on these plans, and the ticket offices will be remaining open!
I will be continuing my #LiftsforLeagrave campaign, to ensure we get proper access for all to our station.
