It was a real honour for joining Social Interest Group Penrose’s 10th anniversary of Bridge House. The speeches from residents and the dedicated team left not a dry eye in the house.
The passion, the commitment and the determination to provide safety, hope and a bright future for women and children is second to none.
As Gill the lovely CEO said, we hope that these services won’t be needed in 10 years time, but I am grateful that these wonderful people are here for those who need them when they need them.
The housing crisis is a real crisis. In Luton North we know this all too well and my surgeries often include housing casework. I’m pleased Labour will get a better deal for renters, with stability and a landlord’s register and build 1.5 million homes.
There is no quick housing fix, but together, we can ensure that this crisis ends.
