It is an absolute honour that I was re-elected as the MP for Luton North on 5th July.

I love Luton, it is my home and I am so proud to represent it. I will continue to work incredibly hard to represent everybody in Luton North, regardless of faith or background, whether you voted for me or not.

In this election, thousands of people across the country who have never voted Labour have put their trust in us to deliver the change we so desperately need. When the dust has settled and we look to the weeks, months and years ahead of us, we have lots to do. Firstly, to unify our town once again, because we need to put back the dignity, respect and cohesion that was sometimes lacking at times during this campaign.

Luton North has chosen unity over division, hope over fear, action over rhetoric, and change over more of the same. That is what Luton North is about. This win is for the people who have over the past 14 years struggled to get on the housing ladder, see a GP or dentist, or struggled with the cost of living crisis, who desperately need the change a Labour government will bring. The hard work starts today, to deliver that change we need, for Luton North and the whole of the UK.
