About
Luton is my home - I love it here and am proud to be standing to represent our diverse and vibrant town in Parliament Sarah Owen
Who I am
I am the Labour Member of Parliament for Luton North, a constituency covering the neighbourhoods of Limbury, Lewsey, Leagrave, Sundon Park, Marsh Farm, Bramingham and Stopsley. I was first elected in the General Election of 2019 and re-elected in 2024 to continue working hard as your MP.
I started my career working for the NHS, and it was working as a Healthcare Assistant and carer that gave me a strong appreciation for the dedication of our NHS staff. Throughout my career I’ve campaigned on getting a better deal for workers, on healthcare inequalities, human rights, antisocial behaviour, accessibility and road safety. I am proud to represent Luton North and champion our thriving and diverse communities.
In Parliament, I am also Chair of the Women and Equalities Committee, working to scrutinise the government in its policies that affect marginalised communities across the country.
